– The rapid evolution of technology, particularly in education, challenges teachers to enhance their digital skills. This study employs the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to analyze and prioritize essential digital competencies for secondary school teachers. A survey of 133 secondary school teachers in Hanoi, Vietnam, was conducted using a predefined set of digital skills tailored for educators. The analysis identified classroom management, educational software use, and professional data management as critical for effective teaching. The findings emphasize the importance of continuous professional development in digital skills to meet the demands of the digital era. Utilizing AHP provides insights into teachers’ digital proficiencies, facilitating technology integration in pedagogy and better preparing students for a technologically enriched environment. This research contributes to improving teaching methodologies and underscores the necessity for ongoing support and training in digital skills for educators. © (2026), (UIKTEN - Association for Information Communication Technology Education and Science).
