Objective: To present the fundamentals and different stages of production of the DCZ (Dengue, Chikungunya, Zika) Almanac, focusing on the biological, health, social and environmental factors related to outbreaks of these arboviruses in vulnerable areas and the use of the almanac format as an infocommunication device in health, inspired by traditional pharmacy almanacs, due to their historical role as mediators between popular knowledge and technical-scientific discourse. Method: Based on an interdisciplinary triangulation between the fields of information, communication and health, articulating: 1) theoretical-conceptual references on knowledge mediation and information and communication devices; 2) a qualitative approach consisting of: field research with Community Health Agents (ACS) and Endemic Disease Control Agents (ACE), mediators between technical-scientific knowledge and community knowledge; historical-documentary research on pharmacy almanacs; experimental research for the development of the DCZ Almanac, based on the analysis of primary and secondary data obtained. Result: A comprehensive database was organised, integrating the different sources analysed, allowing for the construction of a pluralistic approach to arboviruses represented in the device, through textual, imagery and symbolic elements drawn from the experiences of health agents. The final product – the DCZ Almanac – proposes a critical reading of information and knowledge in the context of prevention, promotion and care in the Family Health Strategy (ESF) in vulnerable territories. Conclusions: The interdisciplinary perspective adopted in the research allows us to conclude three main points in the process of producing the DCZ Almanac. First, the necessary critical review of the unidirectional and impositive informational mechanisms in force in health. Second, the focus on the social life of infocommunicational devices in their different temporalities. Third, the interdisciplinary combination of information, communication and health from the perspective of mediations between different forms of knowledge, in order to promote multiple readings and appropriations of the infocommunication device. © (2026), (Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina).
