The third review of the code of best corporate governance practices carried out in 2018, generated recent changes and the implementation of a new board named “risk and compliance”. This article seeks to determine, what were the main changes on the code, if the new best practices have been adopted by the companies, and if compliance with the new practices made to the code maintain a positive correlation in the financial profitability of companies listed on the Mexican Stock Market. Profitability indicators and semilogarithmic models were used to specify the correlation.
