Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in the industrial manufacturing sector, both generally and specifically in the Hanoi area, are actively researching and implementing digital transformation but still face numerous barriers and significant challenges. This study focuses on factors including Awareness of Digital Transformation; Technological Platform; Subjective Standard; Digital workforce; State Policy; Investment Intentions; and Investment Decisions, to analyze how these factors influence digital transformation investment behavior in small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in Hanoi. The research utilizes primary data from a survey consisting of 288 valid questionnaires. It employs the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method and processes the data using SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings indicated that, except for the factors of Subjective Standard and State Policy, all other factors influence the Investment intentions and Investment decisions in digital transformation among small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises positively. © 2026, SRAC - Romanian Society for Quality.
