This study explores the main opportunities and challenges facing fintech companies in Jordan, with particular attention to staff training, technological development, and financial inclusion. A structured questionnaire was distributed to 294 employees across 47 firms (42 fintech companies and 5 commercial banks). The descriptive– analytical approach was combined with correlation analysis, multiple regression, and Smart PLS-SEM for hypothesis testing. Reliability was confirmed with Cronbach’s alpha values>0.78. Findings show that opportunities such as decision-making support, e-payment services, and accessibility positively influence fintech adoption, while challenges, including limited infrastructure, lack of training, and insufficient experience, negatively affect implementation. The COVID-19 pandemic was the strongest predictor of fintech adoption (β= 0.246, p < 0.001). Theoretically, the study extends the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by highlighting contextual constraints specific to Jordan. Practically, it emphasizes targeted digital literacy, cybersecurity protocols, and financial inclusion strategies for enhancing adoption. Policymakers and practitioners are encouraged to design sector-specific training and regulatory frameworks that mitigate barriers while leveraging opportunities. © 2026, IPMEDIA SDN BHD.
