The chapter tries to mediate tacit knowledge on just green transition from Central European Countries perspective by introducing realistic view on past and current transition concepts as a base for critical perception of the Green Deal as a political framework from the position of planning practice for multiple transition in Central Europe, in order to outline possible conceptual and practical solutions suitable for Western Balkan as inherent part of integrated Europe, demonstrated on an example of Vision and Strategy of Development Slovakia 2030. It highlights the potential of just green transition as a running challenging process of learning by doing, bringing together multiple stakeholders with different interests, many innovative solutions and mistakes, as the process of mutual learning in which the Western Balkan countries can bring their own tacit knowledge as the Central Europe including Slovakia did. © The Editor(s) (if applicable) and The Author(s) 2026.
