Abstract

In today’s fast-paced environment, stress and anxiety have become increasingly common, creating a growing need for opportunities to have quality of leisure. This study explores the role of tourism and multicultural quality cuisine experiences in reducing stress and anxiety for a quality of life. A quantitative design was applied using two standardized questionnaires completed by 450 respondents, supported by secondary sources on tourism and cuisine experiences. The findings show that high quality touristic travel duration has a significant impact on stress reduction, reporting noticeably lower stress levels (F = 9.663, p = 0.000). Likewise, multicultural quality cuisine experiences demonstrated a strong and significant effect on lowering anxiety (F = 24.998, p = 0.000). Overall, the results partially support both hypotheses. Tourism business helps prople to reduce their stress, while multicultural cuisine plays a stronger role in alleviating anxiety. These findings highlight the complementary value of tourism business and multicultural cuisine experiences as potential tools for emotional recovery and provide useful insights for cultural tourism development and stress-management practices. © 2026, SRAC - Romanian Society for Quality.
