This study aimed to analyze quality of work life in the mining sector by comparing direct employees and outsourced workers. An online survey was conducted with 252 respondents. The data were analyzed using Levene’s test and the independent samples t-test. Based on the results, a consistent pattern was identified: Direct employees perceive better working conditions, greater recognition, more development opportunities, and stronger organizational support than outsourced workers. It is therefore concluded that outsourcing, as currently practiced in the mining industry, may be associated with more limited work experiences, highlighting structural inequalities that negatively affect these workers’ quality of work life. © 2026, The Author(s).
