Sustainability accounting is increasingly important amid global integration and climate concerns. This study examines factors affecting Vietnamese firms’ readiness to adopt IFRS Sustainability Standards using Bayesian linear regression on survey data from 159 firms. Results show that Internal Capacity & Resources and Corporate Governance have statistically significant positive effects on readiness. In contrast, Regulatory & External Pressures, Perceived Importance & Benefits, and IFRS Adoption & Related Experience do not exhibit significant impacts. These findings highlight that internal organizational capabilities and governance structures are more critical than external pressures or prior experience in driving adoption readiness. The study suggests that improving internal resources and strengthening corporate governance are essential to support the effective implementation of IFRS Sustainability Standards in Vietnam. © 2026, World Scientific and Engineering Academy and Society.
